Hi Bob- Ive been using Twitter for 3 years and have taken large chunks of time away. Its more of the fact that I have a computer in my pocket, and the temptation to always check what's happening with my emails or networks is a problem for me. I think teaching 10 online courses and taking 3 of them, plus heavy digital networking has me always checking in when I should be staring into space thinking about personal growth or something :)

I get frustrated with usability issues that prevent me from managing my life. I'm having to take a course on Blackboard right now and the usability fail is probably going to cripple me for weeks.

Don't forget. It's a conversation and people are allowed to drift away and return. The important thing is curating your attention by pruning your contacts.
